Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors intending to submit manuscripts to Lux Luris: Journal of Business Law are required to comply with the following guidelines to ensure that their submissions meet the journal's editorial standards.

1. General Requirements

Originality
Submitted manuscripts must be original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication by any other journal.

File Format
Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

Language
Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English. An abstract in English is mandatory.

2. Manuscript Format and Structure

Title
The title should be written in Times New Roman 16 pt, bold, centered, and should not exceed 15 words.

Author Information
Authors' names should be written without academic titles, followed by their institutional affiliation (Study Program and Bandar Lampung University) and the corresponding author's email address.

Article Information
The manuscript should include the article history consisting of the Received, Accepted, and Published dates.

Abstract
The abstract must be written in English, using Times New Roman 11 pt, with a length of 150–250 words. It should briefly describe the background, research objectives, methodology (where applicable), and the main findings.

Keywords
Provide 3–5 keywords that accurately represent the content of the manuscript.

3. Manuscript Organization

Introduction
The introduction should be written in Times New Roman 12 pt, justified, single-spaced, with a 1 cm first-line indentation. It should explain the legal issue, background, literature context, and research problem. Subheadings are not permitted in this section.

Research Methods
The research methods section should be written in Times New Roman 12 pt, justified, single-spaced, with a 1 cm first-line indentation. Authors should describe the research method, legal materials or data sources, research approach, data collection techniques, and data analysis methods. Subheadings are not permitted.

Results and Discussion
This section should be written in Times New Roman 12 pt, justified, single-spaced, with a 1 cm first-line indentation for each paragraph. It may be divided into relevant sub-sections. Sub-section titles should be written in Title Case, bold, and without numerical or alphabetical numbering.

Conclusion
The conclusion should summarize the answers to the research questions and provide recommendations or suggestions based on the findings.

References
References must follow the APA 7th Edition citation style. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

4. Citation Guidelines

Citation Consistency
All sources cited within the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and every reference listed must be cited in the text.

Citation Style
References should be arranged alphabetically according to the APA 7th Edition guidelines.

References from Lux Luris
Authors are encouraged to cite previously published articles from Lux Luris: Journal of Business Law, whenever relevant to their research topic.
